Description
US-008 — Control Search Engine Visibility
User Story
As an authorised website administrator, I want to control whether the public website is visible to search engines so that the organisation can decide when its public pages should be discoverable through search.
Acceptance Criteria
The website supports search-engine visibility control.
Public pages can remain invisible to search engines until the organisation chooses to make them visible.
Once search-engine visibility is enabled, the applicable public pages can be indexed.
Search-engine visibility does not prevent normal direct access to the public website.
The behaviour applies consistently to the relevant public website pages.
Out of Scope
Search-engine advertising.
Search-engine marketing campaigns.
Search ranking optimisation.
Management of external search engines.
Business Rules / Notes
The source explicitly states that the website should be search-engine visible when the organisation chooses to make it so, and invisible until then.
Dependencies / Decision Required
Exact administrator control mechanism is a technical/design decision, not a business requirement.
