Description

User Story 1 (FE): High-Speed Camera Initiation

Story: As a Citizen, I want the camera to open immediately when I tap 'Report Incident', so that I can capture fleeting moments or urgent safety issues without delay.

  • In-Scope: Camera permission handling, hardware acceleration for camera launch, and full-screen camera view.
  • Out-of-Scope: Advanced filters or zoom; video recording.
  • Acceptance Criteria (AC):
    1. Camera must initialize and show a live feed in under 1 second on supported devices.
    2. Handle "Permission Denied" states with a clear link to system settings.
    3. Flash toggle (Auto/On/Off) must be accessible.
  • Validation Rules: * Launch time benchmarked on 4G/5G connections.
  • Error Messages: "Camera permission is required to report incidents. [Open Settings]"
  • DoD: Performance profiling completed, Unit tests pass, UX verified against wireframe.
